Soonapse is participating in the event Smart Farming: Producing Smarter, a “Café dell’Innovazione“, organized by the Institut Français Italia and the CCI France Italie – Chamber of Commerce, with partner Food Hub SRL. The “Café dell’Innovazione” are moments of discussion and meeting on innovation topics that are revolutionizing our present and will design our future.
Agriculture is one of the forerunner sectors in the use of new technologies, to the point that in just a few decades there has been its own metamorphosis of agricultural practices. What we call “smart agriculture,” or Smart Farming, designates these new practices in which digital now occupies a central place: sensors of all kinds, drones, Big Data, satellites, and GPS… All technologies are being harnessed to achieve increasingly precise control of crops and farms. This leads us to an increasingly controlled and detailed management of farms: more precise detection of atmospheric variations and faster detection of diseased plants, saving water through the implementation of a “smart” irrigation system… But this alliance between agriculture and new technologies, in addition to better yields, should also improve the quality of life of farmers, the viability of production systems, and the durability of consumption circuits.
After an introduction by Christian Masset, Ambassador of France to Italy, Soonapse CEO Marco Ciarletti will speak along with Roberto Borella of 3Bee, Fabrizio Delage Paganini of Valeur-Tech, Thomas Collet of MyEasyFarm, Véronique Bellon-Maurel (INRAE), Director of the Institut de Convergence Agriculture Numérique DigitAg, Antonio Tommasi of Beeguard, and Tomas Franco of Jungle.
Moderators: Francesco De Carolis and Fabio D’Elia of Food Hub.
